Find the marked location, position yourself so a wall or object is between you and the speakers, and look for the “Eavesdrop” prompt (CTRL on PC, LB on controller). A progress bar will fill, signifying you’ve got the goods. This is key for completing the Bared Fang quest solution.

- Your initial objective will point you towards a hut in the lumberyard by the river. Circle around to the back wall, directly between you and the villagers inside.

- Back to the guard! This time, you’ve got a bit more leverage for your Crimson Desert quest.
- Select the question: “Mysterious Faction Within Beighen.”
- Press R (or A) to lie, then select the evidence: “Blue Fangs.”
- Then, select: “Leader of the Blue Fangs.” When “Jian” is the only option, choose it. He’ll cut you off again – this is expected, you’re on the right track!
- Third Listen: The Leader’s Identity
- Your final eavesdropping mission awaits! Go to the map marker by the nearby lumberyard, around the back of the building.
- Locate the corner between a wood pile on the left and a bunch of crates on the right. Get close to the wall for that tell-tale prompt.
- Guard Encounter Three: Access Granted
- The moment of truth! Approach the guard for the final conversation in this RPG quest.
- Select the question: “Leader of the Blue Fangs” again.
- Press R (or A) to lie, and finally, select the crucial evidence: “Torstein.”
