How to Complete To the Skies in Arc Raiders: A Full Quest Guide

Master the To the Skies quest in Arc Raiders by learning how to source rare arc materials and repair the Gondola Prototype to unlock new paths.

Completing the To the Skies quest in Arc Raiders is your ticket to accessing new traversal options, specifically the Gondola Prototype used to shuttle players to Pendola Pass. To finish this mission, you must track down specific arc components and perform repairs at key locations across the map.

Sourcing Your Arc Parts

Before you can get the gondola operational, you need to scavenge four specific materials. These are dropped by various machines throughout the game, so keep an eye out for these targets:

  • Arc Performance Steel: Harvested from large threats like Bastions, Bombardiers, Leapers, or Baron Husks.
  • Pop Trigger: Dropped by small, volatile Pop robots or couriers.
  • Arc Thermo Lining: Found by looting Pops, Fireballs, or Baron Husks.
  • Arc Synthetic Resin: Scavenged from intact Arc Probes or Baron Husks.

If you are struggling to find these items, try playing during an Electromagnetic Storm event, as this condition often increases the density of these machines on the map.

Scanning Probes and Couriers

Your first objective in the quest requires you to scan a crashed Arc Probe and a Courier. These can be spotted by watching for smoke plumes on the horizon. When you get close, their icons will appear on your map, allowing you to interact with the head of the machine to complete the scan.

Repairing the Gondola Prototype

Once you have all your materials, head to the Gondola Prototype. While it can be found on several maps, the Spaceport location is a popular choice for many players. You can find it just to the east of the eastern exfil elevator, nestled between the Communications Tower and the East Plains Warehouses.

Pro-tip: Don’t rush into high-traffic zones without clearing the area. The Gondola Prototype is in a fixed spot, and other players may be looking for the same repair point, so stay alert for nearby hostiles while you interact with the gondola to install your parts and activate the system.
