However, the real challenge begins after you defeat it, as the creature transforms into a Petrified Gammeltroll statue that mocks your best pickaxes. To claim the elusive Petrified Tissue, you need more than brute force; you need a specific tactical approach.

The Secret to Mining the Petrified Gammeltroll

Normal mining tools simply won’t work on the petrified remains of this beast. To shatter the statue and claim its internal resources, you must utilize Ember Charges, a specialized explosive item that requires preparation from previous biomes.

Step 1: Crafting Your Explosives

Before you head back to the statue, ensure you have the necessary components by following these steps:

• Defeat Fader: You must conquer the Ashlands boss to acquire the Fader Relic.
• Build the Eternal Pyre: Use the Fader Relic and 10 stone at your base. This structure will generate the embers required for your charges.
• Gather Seal Pelts: Hunt the adult seals found in the Deep North biome.
