Space may be the final frontier, but for Brazilian Trekkers, the adventure recently touched down in São Paulo. The SP Pop’s Symphonic Band took over the B32 Theater for a mind-blowing performance of Star Trek In Concert. This stellar evening celebrated nearly six decades of Gene Roddenberry’s legendary sci-fi universe.
Led by conductor Ederlei Lirussi, a talented crew of over 40 musicians transformed the stage into a sonic starship. The orchestra wore Starfleet Science division blue uniforms, while Lirussi commanded the room in classic Command red. An enthusiastic crowd of 450 dedicated fans, many in full cosplay, made the venue feel like a miniature convention.
