Fanhome Unveils New Star Trek Starship Models: USS Athena and More

New York Comic Con 2024 brought exciting news for collectors, as Fanhome officially previewed their latest additions to the ever-expanding Fanhome Star Trek starship models lineup. Following their major expansion announced earlier this year, the manufacturer is set to deliver highly detailed replicas that span multiple eras of the franchise.

The Hero Ship of Starfleet Academy

The crown jewel of the latest reveal is undoubtedly the massive USS Athena. As the hero starship for the upcoming Starfleet Academy series, this model has generated significant buzz among fans eager to see the next generation of vessel design. The replica captures the scale and unique aesthetic of the ship, offering a glimpse into the hardware that will define the latest chapter of the Star Trek universe.

Expanding the Fleet: Lower Decks and Beyond

Fanhome is not stopping at the Starfleet Academy roster. The NYCC presentation confirmed that they are addressing long-standing fan requests by including ships from Star Trek: Lower Decks. This move signifies an important shift in the company’s strategy to include more cult-favorite and comedic-era vessels that were previously overlooked by other manufacturers.

What collectors can expect:

• High-fidelity casting that emphasizes screen-accurate proportions.
• A continuation of the expanded 20-issue Official Starships Collection series.
• New representation for ships from modern animated and live-action series.
• Premium display stands for each starship in the collection.

These additions represent a significant win for fans of modern Trek, as Fanhome continues to bridge the gap between classic starship designs and the newer, more experimental vessels featured in contemporary shows. Whether you are a completionist or a casual admirer of Federation engineering, the latest wave of Fanhome Star Trek starship models promises to be a centerpiece for any collection.
