Coven Academy: Everything You Need to Know About the New Disney+ Supernatural Series
Disney+ debuts the supernatural series Coven Academy this week, leading a packed schedule of new shows and movies. Discover what's coming to your queue from September 28 to October 4, 2026.
The Magic Arrives: What is Coven Academy?
If you are looking for your next binge-watch, Coven Academy is officially arriving on Disney+ this week, bringing a fresh wave of supernatural drama to the platform. Created by Tim Federle, this highly anticipated comedy-drama is set against the atmospheric backdrop of New Orleans. The series follows a trio of trainee witches tasked with the dual burden of protecting their city from otherworldly threats while managing the complex, often chaotic realities of teenage life.
Starring Malina Weissman, Tiffani Thiessen, Louis Thresher, and Malachi Barton, the show has already generated buzz for its unique tone. Weissman herself noted that the script offered an ‘eerie, darker world’ that captures the same nostalgic essence of supernatural classics, updated for a brand-new generation of viewers.
